Advanced technology and global
positioning systems allow MASI's clients
to track and monitor moving objects, such as vehicles, with
transponders moving along a highway. The transponder sends
information about the vehicle, such as a license number, back
to a central processing system.
When the vehicle leaves the highway, the transponder signal
is read and then a bill is calculated and sent out. Global
transportation systems need this type of intelligence to achieve
a higher percentage of revenue collection and to improve the
management and flow of traffic.
