Using a familiar graphical user interface (either Windows 95 ™ , 98 ™ or NT ™ or XP ™), Modern Witness 2000 provides a simple way for you or your staff to manage your security needs and keep you in control. If you know how to use Windows™, you will know how to operate Modern Witness 2000.

Using existing networks and modems, Modern Witness 2000 can manage multiple companies or departments at multiple locations, either around the corner or around the world. With a few mouse clicks, the status of any system can be obtained. Operations such as adding, changing and deleting cardholders are easy with the advanced search features. Personnel information such as user ID, Group, Phone, and even Car License Numbers are easily associated with each cardholder using any of the multiple user-definable fields. Flexible Œwild card¹ searches and extensive reporting capabilities give your facility complete control of building access and security. Real time activity viewing allows management to verify operating status and pinpoint usage. Alarm/security breaches are recorded for easy viewing through the event log. Personnel can be located in large or remote facilities by verifying the last card read. (This becomes especially useful with a multiple location configuration.)

MODERN WITNESS MODULES:
MWMS - Modern Witness 2000 for Multiple Sites via Modem
This version of Modern Witness 2000 Software is the same as MW2 with the addition of being able to use modems for communications with Remote Controllers. The basic package allows for up to 8 direct Controller connections with 3 additional Controllers via modem. When you require additional remote sites, you purchase additional Licenses in blocks of 6 sites.

MWMC - Multiple Company Module
This feature is an option for both MW2 and MW2MS. This allows the business to set up Modern Witness 2000 to mange Multiple Companies and Departments with separate User lists and Event logs for each company. Each Company can have one or more Controllers assigned to each Company.

MWWL - Work Station (Network) License Module:
This feature is an option for both MW2 and MW2MS. It allows Modern Witness 2000 databases to be accessed over the network. You will install the existing Modern Witness 2000 Software on to each new Workstation and program in the location of the User and Event information files. This module enables an operator to maintain the User database, view events, report events and perform Manual Control functions on any of the authorized Controller. This Module will work with any of the other modules. The number of Workstation Licenses is limited only by the size of your network.

MWS6 - Additional Six Site License Module:
This feature is an option for the MW2MS. It upgrades the Modern Witness 2000 for Multi-Sites Software to enable the end user to add an additional six Remote Controllers to the Modem Ports. The Modern Witness 2000 for Multi-Sites allows for three Remote Controllers connected via modem, and with the additional six-site license, 9 Remote Controllers could be controlled from a single PC. Another six-site license module could be purchased for a total of 15 Remote Controllers controlled from a single PC and so on.

MWTA - Time and Attendance Report Module:
This feature is an option for both MW2 and MW2MS. This is a basic Time and Attendance Reporting module that Modern developed to enable the end user to generate a total time report for each user over a selectable time period. The information is gathered using one of the two methods:

1. Using IN and OUT readers and/or keypads, on up to eight doors per Controller. This report shows dates and times of the first IN and the last Out of when the cardholders used their cards on and the total number of hours per day and the total per week. This report produces a list of only the card holders that used a reader for that day. If they did not use a valid IN/OUT reader, they will not be recorded.

2. An alternate style of report generates a report based on the First and Last card read or keypad from ANY reader or keypad attached to the Controller for each day. This report shows the total time in for each day for each cardholder in the Witness 2000 user list; even if they were not present during that day.

MWAI - Attendance Interface Module
MWAI - Attendance Interface Module Modern Access Systems Inc. is an official partner with Infotronics to provide an in-depth Time and Attendance module. This module allows the reader information gathered by the Modern Controller and Modern Witness 2000 software to be imported into the Infotronics Attendance software. This software provides the user with full payroll control, employee scheduling, and extensive employee attendance reporting functions. The information is gathered from any designated reader or keypad in the system, from any or all of the Controllers. The sales and installation of the Attendance software is performed in partnership with an authorised Infotronics Dealer.

MW2IN - User "IN" Status Report Module
Creates an "IN" status report of all users currently "IN" the building. Automates the in or out status of employees. You will no longer need to keep track of employees with a magnetic in / out board. Works excellent for industries where emergency evacuation could occur and status of employee is immediately required or you wish to keep an ongoing count of the number of cars that are currently IN the lot.
